Thailand International Composers Competition
Thailand International Composition Festival was established in 2005 with the goal to improve the standard of Composition Education in Thailand and later on Southeast Asia with the missions to create the opportunity for emerging talented composers to be recognized and to develop their career. This year, Thailand International Composition Festival in cooperation with Rangsit University provides the opportunity for emerging composers regardless of their nationality to participate in the Thailand International Composers Competition. Five finalists will have an opportunity to work with the TICF Trio and receive comment and consultation from Master Composers including Robert Beaser, Zhou Long, João Pedro Oliveira and Xiaogang Ye. Five finalists will receive the full access to all seminars and concerts at Thailand International Composition Festival. Finalists’ accommodation including Hotel, Meals, and Local Transportation will be provided by the festival. Finalists’ travel will be on their own expenses. Finalists are required to participate in three rehearsals with TICF Trio and competition concerts at the end of the festival on July 16, 2010. The verdict of the winner will be announced at the end of the concert on July 16. The winner will receive the 1,500USD Honorarium Award.
Eligibility
1) Applicants regardless of nationality and age are eligible to apply for the competition; however, applicants should be composers at the early stages of their professional careers.
2) Only one entry per person is accepted.
3) Scores that have been published, awarded, or commercially recorded are not eligible.
4) The name of composer should NOT appear on the submitted score.
5) Any alteration of the score is not permitted after entry.
6) The submitted work should be between 5-10 minutes in length.
7) Instrumentation of the submitted work is for Violin, Cello and Piano.
8) No submitted scores will be returned.
Submit
1) One bound and legible of score written within the last five years.
2) Recoding of the submitted work (if available), midi realization is also acceptable on CD format only.
3) Composer’s name should NOT appear on the score or the CD.
4) Bio/Resume, including current address, telephone number, and e-mail in the sealed envelope.
5) A program note and information regarding the performance history of the submitted work including the dates performed and performing ensemble(s).

Award
An honorarium of 1,500USD will be awarded to the winner of the competition. The five finalists will be invited to participate in the Thailand International Composition Festival to attend the rehearsal and final concert. Thailand International Composition Festival will provide a full accommodation including Hotel room, meals, and local transportation for all of finalists. The air ticket must be on the finalist personal expenses.
Selection
Five finalists will be announced no later than June 5, 2010. The Winner will be announced at the Final concert at Thailand International Composition Festival 2010 on July 16.
