Thai Composer Wins Annapolis Competition

Narong Prangcharoen of Bangkok has won the Annapolis Charter 300 Young Composers Competition, according to the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra.
Prangcharoen won for his nine-minute composition "Tri-Sattawat," or "Three Centuries." The composition premiered in February, when it was performed by the Annapolis orchestra. Prangcharoen will receive $5,000 and the opportunity to have the orchestra perform his work again in November.
